Since stepping away from Microsoft, I've been embracing something I haven’t had enough of in years - time at home. It’s been a pleasure to spend more moments with my family, playing video games with Davy and generally being more involved in homelife. Even our dog (ok lets face it, she’s MY dog), Willie Jack, is thrilled—she’s getting more walks than ever before. It will take me longer to adjust and adapt but exploring this version of life has already been interesting.
But just because I’m spending more time with my family doesn’t mean I’ve stopped thinking about my media family and technology. In recent weeks, I’ve had dozens of conversations with friends and colleagues—discussions I’ve wanted to have for years but didn’t have the space to explore fully. Without the constraints of a corporate framework, I’ve been sharing my perspectives more freely, digging deeper into what excites me most about where the industry is headed.
